<div>March 31 2023 I was in a car accident that has left a lasting impact on my mental and physical health. I sought medical treatment for over a year to allow me to return to my job and active lifestyle. MRIs, 2 rounds of PT, chiropractic, and more. After this accident I had (and still have) a torn labrum in my right shoulder and 2-3 bulging discs with early signs of degeneration in my neck. I’ll have to go back every 2 years for repeat neck MRI’s and hope the degeneration doesn’t progress. I did everything the right way and still am left with medical debt due to there being no witness to the accident and conflicting statements from the other driver that hit me. I KNOW in my heart and soul that I was not the cause of this accident. Unfortunately, today in trial the judge could not make the determination that the other driver was at fault due to the lack of witnesses. My story has never changed, although the other driver’s story has. She can’t even say for certain which road I was traveling on but I could tell you every last detail of that day. She even stated that she “stopped at a red light” which is the red light she ran that led her to hit me.  Unfortunately, that was not enough in the eyes of the judge.

<div>My medical bills total around $25,000.

<div>On top of this, I am a full time student and working full time to make ends meet. It’s not enough and my family helps in every way they can while still covering their own lives.

<div>I do not know for sure if I will receive the grant that previously helped me pay tuition and I am maxed out on federal loans. This will likely add another $8000 to my expenses for the summer if I don’t get financial aid for school.

<div>Long story short, I need help. Any help is appreciated. I understand things happen in life that we don’t have control over and that is what this is. I have done absolutely everything in my power to avoid going this route but I need help.
