<div><strong>Ich finde fast keine Worte wie viel Glück gerade durch meinen Körper und durch mein Herz fließt. Und klar, da sind auch einige Ängste und Unsicherheiten, ob alles gut laufen wird und ob ich es schaffe bis dahin das fehlende Geld zusammen zu bekommen.</strong>

<div><strong>Die Kosten sind nun deutlich höher als erwartet und belaufen sich mit Stirn-, Kinn- und Kiefer-OP, einer Reduzierung des sichtbaren Kehlkopfes, einer Veränderung der Haarlinie, der Anästhesie, den Krankenhaus- uns Reisekosten auf insgesamt 42.000€ ! Das ist eine wirklich unfassbar große Summe für mich und ich will jetzt versuchen in den nächsten Wochen circa die Hälfte davon zusammen zu bekommen. </strong>

<div>Ich bin 37 Jahren alt. Ich rede viel zu viel über aufregende Dates und Crushes, tanze für mein Leben gern, verschlinge ein queeres Buch nach dem anderen, schminke mich aufwendig und schlicht, Cornere in der Sonne mit Späti-Bier oder Kaffee, baue Gemüse im Kleingarten an, feiere die Webserie Druck oder den Podcast „Auf eine Tüte“… Und ich bin trans.

<div>Transition heißt für mich im Moment viel: mich mit und in meinem Körper immer wohler zu fühlen. Auch und weil er*sie sich gerade so viel verändert. Und Transition heißt für mich auch: community. Denn das alles geht gar nicht alleine. Ich suche mit anderen nach Räumen für Empowerment und Reflektion, in denen Erfahrungen vielfältig und gleichzeitig da sein können, wir uns als Menschen begegnen, trotz und anstatt der diskriminierenden Strukturen, die uns voneinander und von uns selbst trennen. In denen wir Langsamkeit, Kreativität, Spielerisches, Genuss, Körper, auch Fehler einladen können, auch weil uns diese jahrhunderte-alten Strukturen immer wieder davon ausschließen wollen.

<div>Ich schreibe euch das alles, weil ich euch von Mensch zu Mensch heute ganz konkret und praktisch fragen will, ob ihr mich auf meinem Weg unterstützen wollt…?

<div>I am 37 years old. I talk way too much about exciting dates and crushes, love to dance, devour one queer book after another, wear elaborate and simple makeup, chillax in the sun with beer or coffee, grow vegetables in my allotment, celebrate Sex Education and Heartstopper... And I'm trans.

<div>Transition means a lot to me. Right now especially: feeling more and more comfortable with and in my body. Also and because s*he is changing so much right now. And transition for me also means: community. Because all of this is impossible without it. In building community with others, I am looking for spaces for empowerment and reflection, where our experiences can be diverse and present in all its contradictions, where we can meet as human beings, despite and instead of the discriminating structures that try to separate us from each other and ourselves. In which we can invite slowness, creativity, playfulness, pleasure, our bodies, mistakes, also because these centuries-old structures want to exclude us from it again and again.

<div>I write all of this to you because I want to ask you today from person to person and in a very concrete and practical way, if you want to support me on my way...?

<div>I have decided that as part of my transition I want to do facial feminizing surgeries. These are surgical procedures that reduce male features of the face in the bone structure and overlying soft tissue, giving the face a more feminine appearance. My face often causes me to be read and spoken to in a masculine way, which in turn causes me dysphoria.
</div>

<div>Facial feminizing surgeries are associated with high costs and are not covered by health insurance in Germany, despite clear necessity, even through diagnoses and letters of indication from specialists. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to bear the costs for the surgeries myself. I have therefore decided to turn to you to cover the costs through a joint fundraising campaign.
