Help Face Vocal Band with our educational outreach in Australia!
We have been offered the opportunity to bring our unique brand of “all-vocal rock” performance and education programs to a prestigious vocal festival in Australia (more details below), and we need your help getting there.
To that end, we are performing a one-of-a-kind fundraising concert on May 4, 2018, at Soiled Dove Underground in Denver. In addition to your favorite Face tunes, you will hear the members of Face like you never have before in a special cabaret-style performance, presenting solos and small combos to show off our musical prowess above and beyond the typical “all-vocal rock” that you’ve come to know and love. There may even be instruments on stage! -gasp-
For those of you unable to attend this special concert, but who still want to help Face’s foray to Australia, we’ve also set up this GoFundMe page to give you the opportunity to support us.
For over 16 years, Face has been able to continue operating as an “Indie Band” – which is one of the many miracles of Face’s story. Most bands have to rely on a label or production company. Instead, Face has always been able to rely on our supporters, our friends, family, and fans.
YOU are our label. YOU are our production company. By supporting Face, you’ve been instrumental (see what we did there?) in helping turn this homegrown local band into an international phenomenon, sharing and teaching our passion for music with thousands of people worldwide.
Here are a few reasons why you might be interested in supporting this campaign:
It’s educational outreach. Most of you are aware of our devotion to music education and inspiring young musicians. The festival in Australia has a strong educational component, and much of our time there will be spent leading workshops and clinics. We will say more about this particular festival in late April, when their official marketing starts to roll out. Sorry we can’t share more details just yet, but for now we’ll tell you that last year, this same 2-week festival attracted tens of thousands of audience members and participants.
It opens up new markets for us in another part of the world. For years we’ve heard from so many of you, insisting that we need to be bringing our music all over the world. We’ve been given the invitation to Australia, now you can help us with the travel expenses to get us there so we can introduce our unique brand of all-vocal rock to the Southern Hemisphere.
It’s an investment in Face’s future. Many of you supported our debut tour in Europe, which most of you know has turned into subsequent tours. We want to assure everyone that helping us get to Australia will continue to open more doors in the future for Face to reach even more people all over the world.
It helps our global AND local communities. Face’s growth overseas has turned into increased success here at home as well. As we have transitioned from local band to international brand, one of the benefits has been enabling us to support our local community and music education programs even more. Your gift to Face will not only help us world wide, but will ultimately help us at home as well.
