Faced theUnexpected while Expecting

If you would, please take a moment to read and help a close family member in any way you can, even if just in prayer.

My friends and family, you all know I have and will do anything I can to help anyone, especially a family member in need. I am posting this in hopes some of you can join my efforts aiding my niece/goddaughter during a tough period of her life.

My 31 year old, 8 month pregnant niece, Diamaris Soto (Papo and Jeannette’s daughter) who lives in Puerto Rico was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer several weeks ago. The cancer is so aggressive the doctors felt she needed to start treatment immediately and therefore had to prematurely deliver the baby. Since delivery the baby has been in an incubator but seems to be stable while his lungs finish developing.

Diamaris, who is a school teacher, and her husband, who is a barber, have been raising their other child (8yrs) on modest incomes and with what I believe to be less than optimal insurance. And, as some of you may be aware, Puerto Rico hasn’t recovered from last year’s hurricane so things aren’t in the best shape for them.

I’m concerned they will be challenged paying medical and living expenses going forward since her husband has had to focus on the family and shorten his work hours.

Therefore, I’m asking; Would you consider donating as little as $1 to the GoFund Me page I started on behalf of my niece and her family to help them during this dire time. Every dollar adds up and I know she will greatly appreciate any help she gets from her family and friends.

I would like to personally thank you for taking the time to read this. And, again, if you can’t give money, a Prayer still goes a long way in creating positive energy that will hopefully carry them through this tough period of their lives.
