Assist on a Missions Trip

For years I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve, lead, love on people & speak in 3rd World Countries for various Mission Trips. It is with joy & excitement that I get to embark on another trip.
God has opend the door and I have been invited to help with a team to Haiti this June. Haiti, a land all to familiar with hardship & struggles. Haiti, the poorest Country in the Western Hemisphere, dealing with natural disasters for over a decade now.
From tearing down homes, crushing properties, destroying land and livestock, leaving this country in shambles searching and hurting for hope.
With a team, I have the privilage to help lead as we participate in food distribution, parntering with a local church and Pastor as we do our best to meet the needs in a community or two. We also lead children in classes and help teach at the local church and spend some time focusing on construction. As a team, coming along side the people and building hope as we build homes and start structures for furture homes.
It is a wonderful opportunity I have and I most definitely have a heart to serve and be apart of 3rd world countries, loving on them, serving them, meeting poeple and experiencing culture.
I share all this to share a couple things with you;
1) I need LOT'S of prayer!!! Prayer for strength, emotional and physical and we go, go, go in this hot, humid climate and strive to as much as we can, with the given time we have. Prayer as it is my forst experience with Haiti, so I really want to be led by the Spirit and allow God to move through me to meet the needs of those we encounter. Prayer for finances! As I do need to raise about $1,000.00 to make this trip possible. Which leads to the second way I need help.
2) Financial Support!!!
I've honestly put off and have hesitated asking for financial support, thinking I can do it myself, but the Lord reminded me; not to be too proud or prideful, in humility 'Ask,' becasue he will provide.
I love 2 Corinthians 9:8; "And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share wiht others."
And that's excatly what I desire!!! I love to serve & have a heart for Mission's, and if I can reach this goal, I can make this trip possible with left over funds to give and resource the poeple in Haiti.
Above all, pray with me. Pray for the team. Pray that through our efforts and hard work, 'Hope' is planted and the poeple we minister to catch a clear glimpse of Christ through us. That's the goal, reaching poeple one by one for the Glory of Christ.
Thank you for taking the time to read this small glimpse of my heart, as I am excited to step out once more and serve the unfamiliar and do my best to answer the call of the Great Commision; Go unto the World...
