Hi Everyone,
As some of you may know, I am excited to announce that I am pursuing a new career in Esthetics. I have started the journey with the completion of school, attained a State License and I am now furthering my skill sets with advanced Education and Training.
In the past 2 years, I have come to know several people near and dear to me that have been diagnosed with cancer. It is a devastating disease and such a challenging emotional and physical experience for everyone. My heart has gone out to them. I wanted to help them but was not sure how to go about it. That is when a light bulb went off and it occurred to me that I could utilize my training and knowledge in esthetics to apply towards cancer patients.
I was very excited and purpose driven and was lucky enough to stumble across a company that trained estheticians in the realm of Oncology. It was a fascinating course and made me realize how much I did not fully understand about the process that is involved in recognizing, treating and recovering from cancer. It reiterated a need for esthetics in this industry. My skills would not only address skin care for cancer patients, but also provide healing and nurturing through the simple power of touch.
So this finally brings me to why I am on GoFundMe. I have learned that I am an entreupernuer by heart. I would like nothing more than to work for myself and provide a service that I am passionate about and would be beneficial and helpful for others. I have gone through the cycle of waiting, attaining loans and accumulating debt in the past for other business ventures, and while I am still paying off those debts...I have rattled my brain on how I could succeed without accumulating more debt. So, I am thinking outside of the box and giving GoFundMe a try.
My goal is to raise enough money so that I can invest in a comfortable space, products, tools, equipment and further Oncology training which would help me establish relationships and partner with local hospitals. These resources would be used in the efforts to help others heal.
