UPDATE: Due to travel and lodging costs, FACDC will not be able to take our children to Washington DC. The money we have raised through GofundMe will be used towards summer programming and taking our children on other enriching field trips through out the summer in and around Charleston.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise enough money to take our students at First African Child Development Center on a summer field trip to Washington DC. We believe visiting our nation's capital and the museums it has to offer will be an enriching and unforgettable experience for our students. Please help us reach our goal so we can take our students on this life changing trip!
First African Child Development Center has a mission statement: to save our children from a life of crime and academic failure. Furthermore, we are committed to breaking the vicious cycle of generational welfare dependency and government support. Our teachers and staff work to achieve this by empowering our students through education and opportunities to be involved in the community.
