Fable's Spine Surgery

We rescued our Fable November of 2014, bringing her into a loving home after 6 years of neglect from the previous owner. She is my best companion, my helper for anxiety and chronic-illness-related grief, a joy to everyone she encounters. Her love and simple presence is an invaluable gift to me.
On the evening of July 10, 2017 our beautiful rescue dog, Fable, began showing weakness in her back legs. By the 12th, she had lost most of the use of her hind and was referred to a veterinary neurologist for immediate care. After testing, we found Fable had a slipped disc in her lower spine that had to be repaired to save her life. Thankfully, Dr. Wong and the amazing team at Southeast Vet Neurology jumped into action to save our beloved baby's life. She is out of surgery now and we have been given excellent prognosis for a full recovery. Over the moon!

Unfortunately our joy has been tempered by the large bill for her care. The high estimate for her care is $8,000.00. We need help.
