Bring Providence to Ferguson

End Police Brutality PVD is a collective group of individuals, students, and local organizers from Providence, RI that have been building a loving community of resistance and power against police violence.

Every day our communities are under attack at the hands of the police who only cause pain and suffering within our families. They engage in racist practices, target youth as suspects, violate our dignity, dehumanize women, and deny us any chance at justice. We are tired of seeing our youth, elders, and loved ones be terrorized by those who are suppose to protect us.

We need to aim to build toward a safer community - one based on solidarity instead of terror, mutual aid rather than oppression, and above all else, accountability and justice. To this end we will organize to keep our own streets and families safe, developing new relationships amongst one another - with love and solidarity. 

We are asking people to help support a contingent of (20-25) students, youth, and local organizers from Providence, R.I. to build solidarity with Ferguson during the Weekend of Resistance from October 10-13th, 2014.This experience would benefit us greatly by helping build relationships among local organizers, by providing an educational experience to youth, and by providing a moment to discuss racial structure in the U.S.

We are in of need financial support to cover the cost of travel, lodging, and other expenses.Your donation will cover traveling & lodging expenses that include:
                          1. Two (2) Van Rentals
                          2. Gas & Tolls during travel
                          3. Hotel Costs

Police violence in our neighborhoods has to end - we are tired of being targeted, attacked, and dehumanized! We are ready to stand up and fight back!
