The team at Warrior Racing, along with multi championship winner, driver Grant Johnson, are hoping to compete this year in the National V8 Improved Production Circuit. Whilst undertaking the challenge of competing in these events, the team are also raising funds* and awareness for the following organisations;

 - Special Air Service (SAS) Historical Foundation
 - Wandering Warriors
 - Defence Care
 - Soldier On
 - The Long Ride Home
 - Commando Welfare Trust

The SAS Historical Foundation is a public, not-for-profit, limited liability Company. The Foundation manages the SAS Historical Collection on behalf of SASR. The Foundation is a volunteer organisation comprising primarily former members of the Australian SAS

The mission of Wandering Warriors to provide care, support and opportunities for our veterans and their families. Their volunteers strive to assist all wounded, injured and ill veterans and their families.

DefenceCare helps current and ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force and their families in times of injury, illness or crisis.

Soldier On supports anyone who has served Australia and their families by focusing on their physical and mental health, their family, their community, and their future. This includes those who have served as part of the Army, Navy, Air Force, the Department of Foreign Affairs (AusAid), the Australian Federal Police, Customs, Immigration or Border Protection (now Border Force).

The purpose of The Long Ride Home is to create awareness and to secure funding for the support and care of our military veterans; for those who, through military service to their country, have suffered death, or physical and/or psychological trauma.

The purpose of the Commando Welfare Trust is to provide discretionary funds through a board of Trustees to support the families of serving and ex-serving members of Special Operations Command east coast units, who have been killed or injured in the course of their duty.

The Warrior Racing team is put together by Kevin Otway, a former SAS Soldier and WA Police Officer of 14 years assisted with a group of former SAS soldiers.
Along with Grant Johnson, a highly qualified driver with a wealth of experience in competition both nationally and internationally as well as a two time Australian V8 Ute Champion.

Praised in the V8 racing world, Kevin has had previous experience in running a V8 supercar team, as the previous Owner and Executive Director of the Cat Racing team in 2000, before they relocated to Brisbane, Kevin put the team together from his workshop in Perth.

The Cat Racing team had a highly regarded reputation for its on- track presentation and professionalism which equally matched it on-track pace. Something Kevin is hoping to mimic this year with the Warrior Racing Team.

Caterpillar Australia Marketing Manager, Mr Chris Salmon said. "Kevin Otway did an amazing job in getting this team off the ground. None of this would have happened without Kevin. We are going to miss having him around but the dedication that he has instilled in this team is certainly not going to change"

Now Warrior Racing needs your help to start again this year and raise some much needed funds to help those organisations and foundations that support our Australian Vetrans and Diggers, as well as their families.

* All funds raised will be split equally between the organisations after operating costs. Managed by Acute Buisness Management.
