Vader Dave's Costume Rebuild
Vader Dave had his screen accurate 501st Darth Vader costume stolen out of his car. The good news is that he got the costume back. The bad news? It's in shambles, and huge pieces are missing :(
Vader Dave has used this costume to help out at so many charity events. Anyone that knows him knows that he's a one in a million, great guy. Let's help him out to get his costume back in perfect condition so he can go out and put smiles on kids' faces again!
This is a statement from his Facebook:
"The boots, gloves, and soft parts seem to be okay from a quick glance but I will need to do a thorough inspection for rips and tears and stains.
The Helmet, Lightsaber, Vortex Two voicechanger and speakers are all missing. The Hard Parts (Armor, Chestbox, Shin Armor, Belt with Boxes) are literally in pieces and smashed beyond all repair as is the professional Transport Case they were in.
Needless to say I am heartbroken, not so much because of the loss of the costume but for the fact that Vader wont be able to be at events like Night Eyes or Fundraisers for quite some time while I rebuild and I hate letting the kids down.
But mark my words! Vader may be down but he is far from out! The Dark Side is strong with him and there will only be one thing to say...
Lord Vader...RISE!"
