Niall Casey's Commute to Kolata

This summer I am going to Kolkata, in India, for five weeks, to teach with the Froebel Hope Partnership.
I will be teaching street and slum children alongside local teachers in various Hope education centres such as crèches, schools and after-school programmes.
As a final year primary teacher, I hope to make a difference to the lives of these children by sharing my skills, knowledge and ideas with them and with the local teachers. I hope to gain an insight into their culture and experience life and education in another country.

All donations will be greatly appreciated and helpful! I will be doing a few events in the coming week, all information will be posted on my Facebook page!

Information on the Froebel Hope Partnership:
Since 2009, the Froebel Department of Early Childhood and Primary Education have partnered with the Hope Foundation to create the Froebel-HOPE Partnership. Each year, newly qualified teachers from Froebel volunteer in India and this year 40 of us will be travelling to Kolkata for the experience. The partnership aims to aid in the development of education in Kolkata by catering to the needs and wishes of both the teachers and the students.
