Jen was feeling poorly for a few weeks and finally broke down and went to the emergency room. They did an X-Ray and confirmed that she had pneumonia. But they also saw a shadow that was concerning. That shadow turned out to be a tumor. My sweet sister Jennifer sister has been diagnosed with Metastatic adenocarcinoma m. A form of lung cancer. It is Stage 3B and she is getting ready to start chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
The doctors in her cancer treatment team are saying that the treatment will take 4-6 months. She will be going 4-5 days a week and will not be able to work throughout the treatment. Once the treatment is done, there is also a significant recovery period while they test to make sure that it was successful.
We are optimistic that the treatment will work. She is a fighter & we are confident that and she will beat cancers ass; but we are realistically looking at about a year before she will be able to work again.
She’s far too proud to ask but, she needs help. We have convinced her to apply apply for assistance, but it hasn’t happened yet & if she is approved it can take several months to get started. As of right now there is no income source. That’s where I am asking for help on her behalf.
The funds that are raised will help her to be able to keep her house, her car, pay her utilities and mounting medical bills. Cancer is tough enough. She’s literally in a fight for her life. Basic necessities are really not what she should be worried about right now!
Please donate whatever you can. Even a little bit will help.
