Update on My Mom / Actualización sobre mi mamá
 
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for my mom, donated, and shared her GoFundMe. Your support truly means so much to our family. 
 
My mom is doing well medically, but she has been very weak from the chemotherapy medications. The first round of treatments showed positive results, which has given us hope. She will begin the second half of chemotherapy this Thursday the 19th with four weekly treatments, and she also has a CT scan coming up to check for any changes in the tumor markers.
 
As treatment continues, we have accumulated about $3,600 in medical bills. If you’re able to donate or share her GoFundMe, it would mean so much to our family as we focus on her healing.
 
Watching someone you love go through this is never easy, but the love and support we’ve received reminds us we are not alone. Thank you for keeping my mom in your prayers.

Muchas gracias a todos los que han orado por mi mamá, han donado y han compartido su GoFundMe. Su apoyo significa muchísimo para nuestra familia. 
 
Médicamente, mi mamá está bien, pero se ha sentido muy débil debido a los medicamentos de la quimioterapia. El primer ciclo de tratamientos mostró resultados positivos, lo cual nos da mucha esperanza. Este jueves 19 comenzará la segunda mitad de la quimioterapia con cuatro tratamientos semanales, y también tendrá una tomografía para revisar si hay cambios en los marcadores del tumor.
 
Mientras continúan los tratamientos, hemos acumulado aproximadamente $3,600 en gastos médicos. Si pueden donar o compartir su GoFundMe, significaría mucho para nuestra familia mientras nos enfocamos en su recuperación.
 
Ver a alguien que amas pasar por algo así nunca es fácil, pero el amor y apoyo que hemos recibido nos recuerda que no estamos solos. Gracias por mantener a mi mamá en sus oraciones. 
 
On December 9th, our family received the news no one ever wants to hear — my mom, Rosario Garcia, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Everything has been happening so fast, and her doctors have scheduled a mastectomy for December 16th. I’m trying to stay strong, but I’m honestly scared. I just want her to be okay. 
 
At the beginning of December, her Medicaid was unexpectedly cut off. We’re fighting to get it reinstated, but right now we have to come up with a copay for her surgery to move forward. This is something we never expected, and with such little time before the procedure, we simply can’t handle this cost on our own. 
 
My mom is doing her best to stay positive and focused on healing, but we need help. Any amount — no matter how small — will go directly toward her copay and medical expenses so she can get the surgery she urgently needs.
