Huebner Adoption Fundraiser

Mary and I have wanted to have a child of our own for a very long time. After being registered foster parents in the state of Texas since October of 2012 we have had 2 placements through an agency other than Catholic Charities. Both of our CPS placements ended where the children were removed from our home and placed with family members. We know that God placed those children in our home for a specific reason. Both children were an absolute blessing in our Huebner family life. Neither Mary nor I would take one minute away from the joy that those two wonderful blessings of God brought into this Huebner household.
However, after praying, discerning, and re-evaluating what Mary and my goals are for a family we feel that an adoption through Catholic Charities is our best route. The costs that are put forth from Catholic Charities, if they are not utilized on the birth mother, go back into the Catholic Charities fund so that other woman can recieve the assistance they need to give birth to a healthy child. These funds help keep Catholic Charities doors open so that women, if they so choose, can make an alternative decision to abortion and choose adoption.
The birth mother would get to pick whether they wanted Mary and I to be their child's forever parents. Catholic Charities endorses and strongly pushes for open adoptions so that there is constant communication, meetings, and even get togethers with the birth mother and child so that there is no dis-comfort about, "Well why did my mommy give me up?". The birth mom is doing a tremendously selfless act and is still bringing into the world a child of God.
Mary and I would appreciate and any donation, big or small, that any of you feel placed upon your heart in order to assist us in this adoption process through Catholic Charities. Please in no way feel obligated to donate to our fund. All we ask is that you pray for not only whatever child or children God has planned for our family but every child, mother, or worker involved with the adoption process.
