In 2017, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  As most of us with this disease know, it has been an intense experience since day 1, and has brought on some pretty costly expenses and lessons.  Despite having insurance, there are still deductibles, co-pays, treatments not covered (either partially or fully) by insurance, and possible alternative therapies to mull over.  And then on TOP of all of that, there are the usual living expenses as well.  Cancer has not only turned my life upside down, but it has also deeply affected my family, and being sick has just about drowned us financially.  I am having an extremely difficult time knowing I'm unable to contribute and provide for my family the way I wish I can.

I am currently and slowly on the mend from this nasty disease, but I still have a lot to worry about and face head-on.  My biggest fear is leaving my 4-year-old without a mom.  I have so many milestones in life to witness from her.  I started 2018 feeling broken and kicked to the ground, and I would like to turn it around and ultimately end it on a better note.  Stress management is everything in fighting this and it's been difficult to control that aspect because there's a lot I have no control over.  Your help, prayers, good vibes are very much appreciated from the very bottom of my exhausted but grateful heart.
