Operation Military Care K-9

Donation protected
This morning I read an article in Parade magazine about a dog named Lucca. Lucca wears an honorary Purple Heart after loosing her left front leg in an IED explosion in Afghanistan. I went onto the website uswardogs.org and found the page listing the many items needed by the dogs, and their handlers. I spoke with Ron Aiello that heads the foundation and he explained how getting a package with some of the donated items works. So I'm asking everyone to please donate what you can so I can put together care packages for the dogs and their handler's. I will not know until the day before the package goes out who the handler and dogs will be recieving the packages. Ron explained that because they move so often he could give me names of the individuals and specific items they are in need of just before I mail them out.

My goal is to have 10 boxes filled with as many of the necessities that are needed. If everyone could please give what you can , it would be greatly appreciated. As Ron mentioned even the smallest things when your so far away from home mean so much. Please help me show our appreciation to as many men, women, and K-9's in Afghanistan.  I will ensure all who donate will have their name in the letter I send in their care package. Ron says most often upon recieving their packages they will send photos of the dogs with there toys and other items. This is very important to me and I hope everyone can find a few dollars to support our troops!!
