Hi Everyone!!!
Hope this message finds you well :) This coming March I will be going on a service trip to Nicaragua with UVa's chapter of Global Medical Brigades. This has been a goal of mine since high school and I am so excited to finally be accomplishing it! With that being said, I need your help!
Every year, developing nations reach out to the Global Brigades Organization for both economic and medical assistance. In many cases, these communities do not have access to the basic health care that we often take forgranted. The Global Brigades Organization works alongside members of the community to provide neccesary treatments and educate the population. Not only would I love to make a difference, but I would also value this experience as I go on to pursue a career in the medical field.
This trip will provide me with hands on experience that I cannot receive in a classroom setting. For 7 days, I will work along side a doctor to empower a developing community.
As you can imagine, this life changing experience is quite expensive. My fundraisng goal will cover both travel expenses and the cost of the essential medical supplies. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you would be willing to give!
