On the evening of Friday, March 18th, Edison started feeling ill. Like most of us, he shrugged off the symptoms and tried to sleep it off. The next morning, he awoke and was still not feeling well, nauseous, with impaired vision and a terrible headache. Tracye and Edison decided that it would be best to visit the St. Vincent ER.
After being admitted, the doctors started running tests. It was identified that Edison had a stroke. He was then moved to the St. Vincent Nero-ICU, where he spent the next week. In the first couple of days, there were a few setbacks, but by Tuesday, things appeared to be turning around. Edison, with Tracye and family at his side, started to see some positive steps forward. He started talking more, moving more and even tried his hand as an escape artist! On Friday, March 25, he was moved to a non-ICU room, within the Neuro wing, at St. Vincent. He continues to make small improvements each day, but still has a very long way to go. His next move will be to a rehab hospital, where he will undergo extensive Occupational, Speech, Vision and Physical therapy.
This page has been set up to assist the Munoz family, through this challenging time. The fund will assist with medical bills and the family needs, as Edison works through his recovery. Thank you in advance for any donation that you can make. And if you would, please pass this along to anyone that you know.
