Donations for Dave

We are collecting for a family member, David Piercy, 47. He was recently in a car accident but because there were no visible signs of injury, he refused medical help. Since then he has developed severe headaches, narcolepsy and an overall ill feeling. David did not have time to prove his integrity and exceptional work ethic at a recently acquired job, and because of his deteriorating condition, was often forced to call out of work, and was subsequently let go. Knowing he had to care for his family, David got another job, but due to his still undiagnosed condition, he either fell asleep or passed out at his desk, and was fired again. Early in the morning on September 21 David passed out at home and was airlifted to the local trauma center. He remains in a coma. Two major hemorrhages in his brain have been discovered. Emergency surgery was unable to stop the bleeding and the accompanying swelling has caused a significant midline shift in his brain. The prognosis does not look good. Based on David’s CT scans, it is unlikely that he will awaken, and if he does, his left side will probably be fully paralyzed. Also, due to the severity of his brain injury, it’s believed that he will not have the ability to eat, speak or breathe on his own. David is his family’s only source of income. He is married with four beautiful children, the youngest only 12. Aside from the unconscionable medical bills (no job = no insurance), they have a mortgage payment and all the regular utility bills and daily expenses. Doctors have said that the brain bleed would be uncontrollable, but it has stopped. Doctors also say that the prognosis hasn’t changed, it’s a matter of what damage has already been done. But our God is bigger than all this! This gives us new hope that through God’s grace and mercy, David may be healed. We are asking for your prayers for a miracle healing for David and for strength, courage, comfort, wisdom and understanding for his family. They may be facing a heartbreaking decision very soon. We are also asking for monetary donations. Every dollar is appreciated and helps, please give whatever you can. God bless us all.
