Families Affected By Military Suicide

Donation protected

My son Nathan Worner was a Rifleman and served in 5 RIFLES in Bulford. He was just 20 years old when he sadly took his own life in May 2020. A few short weeks later Nathan's friend and colleague also a serving soldier at 5 RIFLES, Mitchell Matthews also took his own life. Following their untimely deaths I was contacted by Jo Jukes who tragically lost her husband Dave Jukes, a veteran who also died by suicide following a battle with PTSD and mental health illness. Jo bravely, whilst grieving for her husband realised there was no support for families like ours and set up For The Fallen, a CIC supporting families affected by military suicide.

We are a not for profit organisation signposting families to legal help and emotional support with links to solicitors and counselling services.

We have organised family and friends to run the Bristol half marathon. None of these people are natural athletes but are doing all they can to raise awareness of mental health and PTSD within the military and veteran community and would appreciate all your help to raise much needed funds. This is vital to continue helping families in our support group and enable us to reach others who need our help.
