Carrie's Battle

Our mother, your wife, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, neighbor, co-worker, and everyone's "Go-To" is fighting the greatest battle of her lfe. She has been diagnosed with Myelodyspastic Syndrome (MDS). Put simply, her bone marrow is not producing enough healthy blood cells. It is often looked at as bone marrow failure disorder - pre-leukemia. She has been receiving chemo and is planning a transplant hopefully in September. The transplant has to be done in NYC where she and Gary will need to live for a minimum of 3 months.
We all know Gary and Carrie are "those" people. The ones you can be sure will show up when someone is in need. The couple who will silently go without themselves to help someone else. The girl who will listen and not judge. The guy who will mow the lawn of the elderly lady two streets away.
Ironic, that as hard working, reliable, selfless and thoughtful as they both are, they would never....no, they downright refuse to ask for help when they most need it.
We know all of their loved ones want to help. We also know Gary and Carrie will not easily accept it.
Bottom line is, they need financial help through this temporary move to the city. They will not ask, so we are.
