Mission to Togo, Africa
Donation protected
In 2013, a woman named Rachel Moix asked me to walk with her in a disciple-making relationship. It would be a long 3-year journey of learning what it looks like to love the Lord and imitate His life. In 2017, Chris and Rachel Moix asked my husband and me to move to Oklahoma to join them in their pursuit of making disciples. With a lot of prayer and a 3-week-old baby, we packed our things and moved. To this day I am humbled to have been given the invitation to come and the past 6 years have been some of the most challenging and spiritually significant moments of my life.
Fast forward to 2023, and I have been asked to go to Togo, Africa with 4 other disciple-makers. I find myself humbled once again to have been given an invitation and with a lot of prayer, I believe the Lord has stirred me to say yes. We have a connection to the body of believers in Togo, Africa through a man and his wife, Mondji and Esognim. The story of this mission was set in motion 13 years back between my friend Dustin Hunt and Mondji. I encourage each of you to read the full story on his facebook page.
The mission of our trip is simple: To make disciples of Jesus who will make disciples of Jesus. We have the opportunity to raise up 150 men and women by equipping them to make disciples the way it was taught to me, a heartfelt love of His Word. For it is said, “Take hold of my Words with all your heart; keep my commands, and you will live.”
We will also be visiting an orphanage and bringing hope to an unbelieving village. For it is said, “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.” It is only through the wisdom and understanding of Jesus Christ that one can begin to realize the riches of grace that was given to us. This is the only message of hope I speak.
My ask is that you would come alongside this call to “Make disciples of all nations” through your financial support. 1 Peter 4 shares how each one of us is called to use our gifts to serve one another. Through prayerful consideration please ask the Lord if this is one way you can serve the body of Christ.
However, your financial support comes in at a distant second to my need for prayer. I would ask that each of you, as you are called, pray for me and my friends as we venture to Togo, Africa. For it is said, “Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of the lips that openly profess His name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
I thank the Lord for any prayer you may offer up on our behalf and may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. To God be the glory forever and ever, amen!
