I’m reaching out with deep emotion and a hopeful heart to share the story of our beloved cat, Carol, who some of you may recognize from Nathanson Seaman Watts Law Office in Greenwood. Carol has recently went through a horrifying and traumatic experience.

Carol went missing for three long, heartbreaking days. When she finally made her way back home, we were devastated to see her in critical condition — her tail was broken, and her right eye had been violently scooped out and was hanging from its socket. We were in shock and immediately rushed her to Port Royal Animal Hospital, where she received emergency care. That first visit alone cost $900.

Due to the severity of her injuries, she was then transferred to Bridgetown Animal Hospital, where they could perform the urgent surgeries she needed more quickly. Carol underwent surgery to remove her tail and her right eye, and thanks to the skilled and compassionate team there, she made it through. The bill at Bridgetown came to $2,171, bringing our total veterinary costs to $3,071 so far.

Carol is just a young cat, full of life and personality. She’s so so so sweet, sassy, curious, and incredibly affectionate — the kind of cat that always found the warmest patch of sunlight to nap in, or curled up in your lap the moment you sat down. Despite all she’s endured, her spirit remains unbroken. She’s healing, slowly but surely, but the financial toll this has taken on us is more than we can carry alone.

We are humbly asking for your help to cover Carol’s medical costs and give her the safe, loving recovery she deserves.
