Fight Like A Girl! Alecia Denis, AB

Meet my cousin Alecia and her little boy Maddox.
Alecia is 30 years old and has spent the last year getting back on her feet after the break up of her marriage. Feeling good about life and finally moving forward, there is so much she and Maddox are looking forward too.

 In August of this year Alecia found a lump.
That's right BREAST CANCER at 30!

Being the strong, determined woman that she is, Alecia decided then and there she would not let this disease get the best of her. She is going to FIGHT LIKE A GIRL.

Alecia and her doctors are moving aggressively with her treatment which has added the extra expenses of travel ect for her and her family. Living in Lloydminster,AB and having to travel back and forth to Edmonton for appointments, surgeries and treatments is becoming exspensive fast with all of them having to take time off work. Not to mention still having childcare and mothly living costs.

Yesterday September 24th, Alecia had a Lymph node biopsy which will determine the course of her next surgeries. She will be having a double mastectomy in October which will be followed by Radiation and Chemotherapy.

Over the next months Alecia won't be able work while going through treatments (even though she is determinted to live a normal life). Finacially it is going to take a toll on her especially being a single one income house hold.

My goal is for family and friends to help Alecia through this time, so that she can focus on her health and just being a mommy to Maddox. They both deserve to have a little less worry and stress while she fights the biggest battle of her life! So please keep Alecia and Maddox in your thoughts and prayers. They appreciate each and everyone of you that are willing to help in anyway possible!

We also ask for words of hope,love, and encouragement be left here for Alecia so that she can read them, and draw strength from them.
