Mike's Leukemia treatment

Thank you all for the love and support. We are raising funds for the medical expenses regarding Mike's treatment for Leukemia.
May the end of May this year, Mike returned home from work out at camp. He was extremely tired and couldn't get out of bed. When he was finally able to get up, he went outside for a brief moment, to come back in and collapse in front of me. An ambulance brought him to the hospital. The doctor at the hospital treated him for low blood sugars and dehydration. They said there was the start of an infection in his blood. Mike was sent home. Four days later, we were getting ready to send Mike off to work when's received a call from the hospital social worker. She said not to let Mike get on the plane and head to emergency right away. We went to the ER and were stuck in a tiny room for over an hour with only the information that Mike was seriously ill. When the doctor came in, he was very vague on what was going on. Saying things like it's North Pole or South Pole, or could even be something stupid. Confused, Mike asked what was going on. They couldn't say for certain but Lymphoma or Leukemia was most likely the diagnosis. A nurse came in later to apologize for the medical mishap of communication. Thus the journey to Learn of Mikes diagnosis began. Off we fly to Vancouver with our newborn baby boy.
While we have been incrdibly blessed by family and friends, this journey has been long and hard. We've hit many roadblocks with medical coverage, marital status, paperwork, maternity leave, accommodations, etc.
Mike has done really well during his chemotherapy treatments, but his immune system can't fight off infections after the chemo. During this last round, the doctor prescribed a stronger medication to fight off infection, however the medication costs between $1200- $6000. Given the delays and processing for the medical coverage, we are paying for all his prescriptions out of our pocket along with many other expenses that we will not get coverage for.
