Fuck Cancer

I'm sitting here with a very close friend for her second treatment of chemotherapy for breast cancer.  A woman from billing (don't want her job) informs her that with new insurance, (changed mid stream ) the doctors and treatments are NOT IN NETWORK. They will only cover a certain percentage until she reaches a certain amount. This was the case with the last insurance company so she has already had to meet a deductible. I sit listening and watching feeling nauseous and anxious for her and I can only imagine the fear going through her head. What do you say except "don't worry " , "it will be fine,"  "it's not like you can stop!!!!"  Then remembered GO FUND ME and it seems like the best idea. Co workers and I have talked about it and said maybe in the future if necessary we would start a page.   Now it is the future and it is very necessary. Carrie is not only a great friend and awesome person she is also a coworker . The cancer diagnosis came right after her divorce was final and she was looking forward to starting a new chapter in her life .  Cancer and chemo are devastating enough, the constant doctor appointments, tests, blood work and feeling just downright awful are so overwhelming. Not to mention lost time at work and not being able to do the things that make life enjoyable, To  be told that you may have to endure these outrageous costs, especially while literally in the middle of treatment seems cruel and unfair.  So I'm writing this with my co workers in hope that we can raise enough money to try and relieve at the very least the burden of cost.
