Help with Turtles Medical Bills

Hello Everyone! This page has been created to help support sweet loving Turtle. Turtle is a cat who unfortunately had owners that were very neglectful and he was found on someone's porch almost starved to death. Although he was starving they could not get him to eat. The people that found Turtle then contacted Spay it Forward asking for help for this poor sweet boy.
Spay it Forward picked Turtle up that night,brought him to the local vet to get stabilized and then was taken into Jennifers home so she could force feed him and monitor him closely . Turtle still would not eat so it was decided that further testing was needed so Turtle was taken to VCA Aurora Animal Hospital. Just the initial evaluation and testing was estimated at $1284.00 to $1600.00. The test concluded that his blood was not clotting and he needed plasma. The estimate for the plasma and being aspirated and having an e-tube (esophageal feeding tube) came to $3200.00 to $4000.00.At this time the decision was made to give Turtle the chance to have a happy life and was admitted to the hospital in order to start the plasma transfusions.
Everyone hoped and prayed that he would only need one transfusion however that was not the case. Another transfusion was done and not until lucky number three did his blood start clotting! He was diagnosed with Fatty Liver Disease. He now has the e tube this is great news, however he still has a long way to go .
