Help Joyce recover from heart surgery

Hi everyone, I’m ecstatic to share that my previous fundraiser provided the means for my mother to undergo successful repair for a massive aortic dissection, without any major complications. However, as a major hurdle is overcome, another arises, as she now has a long road to recovery and faces heavy medical debt.

Today (16th April) marks her third week in the Intensive Care Unit, but she is still bedridden. As she regains autonomy, the goal is to have her stand and walk as soon as possible. Her journey to this point has been a long one, but she pushes as much as she can with the support of everyone around her.

As the nature of her recovery is dynamic, her hospital bills have far since exceeded what was predicted. This is mainly due to her lengthy stay in the ICU and other smaller complications that arose. Therefore it's with a heavy heart, that I once more plead for assistance in gathering funds to aid with her recovery.

This covers:

• Additional days in the Intensive care unit.

• Stays in the high dependency unity and ward, thereafter.

• Any additional interventions as needed, should complications arise.

• Rehabilitative services

The exceptional team of Doctors and Nurses have all remarked that she is nothing short of a fighter given the progress she’s made and they’re certain she will make a full recovery in time.
