In those terrifying moments, I had to make the hardest decision of my life—I threw my baby girl out of a second-story window to save her. Thank God, the stranger caught her. Seconds later, I had to jump myself.

<div>The apartment, our clothes, our belongings, my car, and even my work laptop—gone. Because of costs, I didn’t have renter’s insurance, and I’m still working to figure out responsibility with my landlord. While the Red Cross has kindly provided us with a temporary hotel stay, we don’t know what comes next.
