Jana Leo recently went blind in her right eye from cataract. She underwent immediate surgery.
Though she does have health insurance, the cost of the lens implant was not covered, costing her $2,700 per eye.
It is very likely she will need her second lens replaced within the next one to three months.
These expenses have put her in financial distress.
