Eyesight Saving Surgery for Mary G

Last week, Mary was hospitalized due to blood pressure exceeding typical stroke levels as well as a near complete loss of vision. After a couple of days in ICU, her blood pressure somewhat stabilized but her vision did not completely return.

An ordered visit to the Ophthalmologist uncovered an eye stroke resulting in complete vision loss in her left eye and also, a torn retina in her right eye. Unfortunately, her left eye is beyond repair so vision in that eye will not return. 

Emergency surgery to save her vision in the right eye is scheduled for Tuesday, 9/11/18.

This is where Mary needs help from friends and family. She does not have health insurance and the medical bills are rapidly increasing. To start, the procedure to repair her retina will total $9,640. Beyond that, she will be unable to work for weeks as she recovers.

To be clear, the funds will be used to pay for the vision-saving procedure as well as supporting Mary in the weeks following surgery.

Anybody who knows Mary, knows she is outgoing, kind and a blessing to her family. She's a great friend and an even more amazing mother and grandmother. Any help in the effort to help her continue the ability to work and continue to enjoy life is greatly appreciated.
