Imagine going through life without your glasses or contacts, without having even realized your eyesight was skewed. How could we drive or study or see the board at school? This is the case for many children in India.
The magnitude of blindness is enormous. India has the largest population of the world’s blind; with over 55 million visually impaired and 8 million of them totally blind.
Every year, two million more people are added to these statistics. Fortunately, nearly 80% of them can easily be cured if only they can receive the treatment. Sadly, the majority of these people lack the knowledge and/or the funds required for the procedures.
A great portion of the population in India are children who attend school on a daily basis without the knowledge they have eye problems and/or funds to cure them.

Our vision: To raise $3,000 geared towards helping children see the world in a new light.
The following is a breakdown of how your donation can help make a direct, positive impact:
$3000 - Open 100 eyes (100 eye surgeries)
$1500 - Open an eye a week for one year (50 surgeries)
$360 - Open an eye a month for one year (12 surgeries)
$200 - Food for patients
$90 - Open 3 eyes (3 surgeries)
$30 - Open 1 eye (1 surgery)
The money raised will go to the Shankara Eye Foundation where they will set up clinics and execute the surgeries. Watch this eye-opening video!
