Eye treatments for Joseph’s vision

Joseph was born severely premature at 24 weeks weighing 1 lb. 5 oz. being that the eyes are the last to develop the doctors discovered Joseph had retinal detachment in both eyes. He was quickly taken into surgery and they were only able to save one eye and is completely blind in his left eye. Joseph has adjusted to the loss of his eye and we have taken care of his good eye with Dr. visits yearly. Joseph noticed a month ago a change in his vision in his good eye. The ophthalmologist confirmed a vision change which will not allow him to drive. The ophthalmologist wants to treat Joseph with laser and injection treatments to improve his vision and prevent any further loss. Unfortunately his insurance does not cover these treatments.
