Eye of the Tiger

Our dad, Allen, is an amazing man and our hero! He is so caring and giving to others and will go out of his way to help anyone in need. He is just a great fun-loving guy with a wonderful sense of humor and a positive outlook on life.

Sadly, we were shaken with devastating news 2 months ago when he was diagnosed with incurable lung cancer. It's been a roller-coaster ride, but we are fighting this horrible disease with everything we've got! His doctors are optimistic that radiation treatment will help but the chemotherapy is a flip of a coin for success. He has been in and out of the hospital since December and new problems seem to pop up just as we get one issue under control. He hasn't been able to work since early December with no indications of when he may be ready to do so. Unfortunately, the bills don't stop coming and the cost of treatments are expensive.

We are giving this battle a good fight and we are out to win! He finished his last round of radiation on Wednesday, January 24th and was very excited to ring the bell on his way out!

He has had two rounds of chemotherapy and will undergo at least one or two more treatments. They will perform a CT scan to see how the treatments are progressing to determine how many more treatments he will have to go through. The chemo is very hard on him and it causes tremendous amounts of pain for the first few days afterwards, but he fights through it and his spirits never break. Truly amazing to see him go through this and still be able to have a smile on his face.

We are asking for your kindness to help our dad, Allen, during this time of need. He is going through a lot of emotional and physical pain and stress with this cancer and helping him feel some relief of the financial burden would be such a wonderful gift.
