A Home for Rosie

Donation protected

Rosie is the sweetest dog, rescued from an awful, weekly-kill shelter in North Carolina.  Animal control picked her up off the streets shortly after she gave birth to a litter of puppies that were never found.  When Rosie reached me in Virginia, she was so timid and malnourished and she was diagnosed with a bad case of heartworm.  She was such a good girl about taking all of her different medications and after several months of painful and expensive heartworm treatments, the vet declared her healthy and heartworm free!

I am currently unemployed due to COVID-19 and am asking for small donations to get Rosie spayed and to help me cover the costs of her food and treats, until I can find the perfect forever family for her.

[More about Rosie]
Rosie is a 1.5 year old, mix-breed female around 25lbs, with the cutest ears and the sweetest disposition.  She is currently being fostered in my one-bedroom apartment along with my cat, George, who she is so gentle and patient with, even when he bops her on the head and bullies her.  (She even lets himeat her food X.X)

She loves to keep me company when I cook in the kitchen so she can sneak me little knee kisses and practice catching snacks, but she also spends a lot of her time curled up in her bed, patiently waiting for snuggles.

Rosie is absolutely obsessed with dogs of all size and demeanor and would love to spend all day playing or even just being able to follow a friend around.  Over the course of fostering her, she has been on several playdates and sleepovers, and there is no doubt in my mind that she can get along with just about any other dog (older dogs, puppies, territorial-barky dogs, etc.).  I would love to see her get adopted into a family with canine siblings that could teach her how to do things like fetch or play tug-of-war, and teach her how to "dog" a little more.

She is super low-maintenance dog and while I had work pre-COVID, she would be fine spending up to 8 hours home alone.  Although she loves to get outside and let loose, she is very calm and easy-going when we are inside.

Rosie is the most gentle, patient dog I have ever met and everyone that has had the chance to meet her agrees that she is the sweetest, good-girl.  If you would like to know more about Rosie and about potentially adopting her, please message me for more details.  Thank you!
