Hello!!!
Most of you know the story of Jim and Carole and how they have become to be our friends. I've shared Jim's battle with bladder cancer with all of you, as well as Carole's health issues.
The latest development is that Jim does have a lymph node now that is cancerous and he will be beginning immune therapy, very soon.
Currently, the biggest struggle has been dealing with incontinence and the cost of Depends. Many of you have expressed an interest in helping and have suggested I start this page, so here it is.
I've also learned, from a nurse friend, that Jim may still be eligible for Medicaid (he had told me he didn't qualify because he made too much money!). My friend has told me that he may have to pay a monthly fee, but it may well be cheaper than some of the out of pocket costs he is now having. I am going to begin the process of applying for him and will keep you updated.
All of this being said, they could definitely use the "hand up" now for Depends and quite possibly with the monthly payment for Medicaid, if that comes to fruition.
Special shout out to my friend that is sending me the "chucks" (pads for the bed) she has from her Dad. These are much needed items also!!
Another shout out to Jim's local Klamath Falls friend that bought him a pack of Depends yesterday!!!
