Expenses for Lisa's Rehabilitation

Dear friends and family,

As you all probably are aware, Lisa Barnett Carr was seriously injured in an automobile accident in the state of Oregon on June 30th, 2017.  Bill Houff, her fiancé, unfortunately passed away at the scene.  Lisa sustained severe injuries including but not limited to: fractures of the clavicle, cervical neck, hip/pelvic, both legs and ankles along with many multiple cuts abrasions and bruises.  She has already had two major surgeries and will need further surgeries which will require her to be in the hospital for weeks.  Following these procedures, she will be requiring long-term rehabilitation and recovery including physical therapy. As was expressed to us by the medical staff in Oregon, it could be a year before she is ambulatory.  Therefore, she will be unable to work and provide for herself and will need financial assistance for the lengthy recovery.  In addition, there will be costly expense to get her back home to her family in Virginia.  We have had many friends and family reaching out, inquiring about how to help Lisa and her family.  The best way to help is to contribute toward these expenses and let her focus on getting well by utilizing this site.  She has asked for no flowers and so, in lieu of flowers, money would be the best way to help.  These donations will be going to cover immediate expenses for both Lisa and her family including: medical expenses, travel, food, lodging, clothes, rent and utilities for her condo that she cannot live in, etc.  Thank you all for your kind words, encouragement, prayers, and continual support and love for Lisa and her family.  We cannot express the feeling of overwhelming love from so many people at once.
