Expenses for Burn Treatment

My son, Nathan, and his 11-year-old cousin, April, were riding his go-cart when a gas can on the back exploded. Nathan was able to free them both from seatbelts and helmets and put out the flames on both of them, but not before they both had severe burns. They were put on a life flight from Valdez to Seattle and taken to the Harborview Medical Center Burn ICU. April has burns all down her left side and she’s currently undergoing treatment to relieve some of the pressure from the swelling because she’s losing feeling to her hand. She will have surgery later this week to graft skin on some of the deeper burns. Nathan has fewer external burns, but there’s damage to his lungs. He’s still heavily sedated and on a ventilator. They’re going to be in the hospital for at least 2 weeks. Insurance should cover most medical expenses, but we have significant travel expenses already, with much more to come. Any help would be appreciated!
