I hope you will take this opportunity to read the description and comments below and, hopefully, make a contribution. Together we can make a positive change.
My name is Jef Johnson. I am a performing artist, public speaker, teacher/practitioner specializing in creative performance. I make workshops and spontaneous plays around the world.
A significant portion of my time is dedicated to helping folks identify personal strengths and potential, nurturing confidence and connection with opportunity to express, play, perform, explore within a wide range of contexts.
I began the process of sharing my personal experiences and methods as a creative performing artist more than 10 years ago with the foundation of Jef Johnson's Clown Lab, in New York City. I currently serve as Master Faculty and Consultant for L'Auguste Rendez-Vous and Auguste Studio in Montreal, Canada; I have been Master Faculty at International Clown School in Évora, Portugal; as well as a Master Faculty of The Nouveau Clown Institute.
Knowing that on every level of society, within every setting, there is genius waiting to be recognized, waiting to be celebrated and nurtured, is a powerful motivator.
A very important component of this work is opportunity.
I am reaching out and asking for your help in my mission to travel to those who do not have the necessary resources to make our meetings possible.
Funds raised in this campaign will assist in the expenditure for workshops in areas which are under supported, in communities often over looked or marginalized and covering expenses for personal work with individuals, consultations and mentorships.
Please help us with even a small contribution, if you can, and share on your social media platforms. Every contribution brings us closer to bringing a discovered talent to light, to encouraging a bright young mind to believe in what is possible, to restore some sense of joy and connection in communities numbed by hardship.
With extended support I hope to create new opportunities in the months to come. This includes bringing workshops, conferences, shows and school visits to lower income regions without insitutional support for cultural activities and personal development education. This includes offering scholarships to those who do not have the means to participate in mainstream events and workshops. Bridging communities creates more positive communication and collaboration.

"The wish is to be able to give others, as happened to me, the opportunity to feel something open up inside, to be able to "break the coconut", find new confidence in their abilities and hidden parts; listen to the weaknesses and take them without judgment, learning to be, towards oneself and towards others, "witness, instead of critics.”
