An encounter with a 12 point bull elk on the mountain this month left our beloved Toyota 4-runner totaled!! Hazel walked away with just a concussion where the antlers or steering wheel hit her in the head!! Emergency crew said the truck saved Hazel's life. The elk ran into the truck putting his antlers through the windshield and broke his neck. We need to replace this essential field vehicle and with deductable and cost of a 4wheel drive, not to mention finding one we are challenged!!
