Exorbitant Dental Costs Harm Grandmother's Health

Hi, my name is Nicole, and I have created this GoFundMe for my mother. She is a retired grandmother without health or dental insurance, and she has found herself in need of a massive amount of dental work due to a genetic bone disease. This disease has left her with loose, broken, and painful teeth and gums. It is making it difficult to eat, affecting her physical health in other ways and negatively impacting her mental health.

My family can only do so much to help financially, and we are very concerned about the long-term effects of mama's condition. We know that poor dental health leads to other health issues, and sadly, the cost of health care is troublesome, to say the least.

The total cost for removing the remaining broken teeth, repairing damage, and providing a set of dentures is approximately $6000. That will be the cost after a discount for a non-insured out-of-pocket payment.

We have exhausted other resources for free or discounted services. Her minuscule social security income has been deemed too high to receive assistance with the expenses, although the pay is barely enough to get by.
