Prince Charming Carson’s Cancer This little Prince Charming Carson was born on August 30th, 2020.  When Carson was just a few days old his pediatrician noticed at his first well check that something didn’t seem right with a lump on his back.  His pediatrician sent him to have an ultrasound which led  them to being referred to U of M Children’s Hospital.  On September 6th, 2020 when Carson was just a week old his parents were informed that their little prince charming had cancer on his adrenal gland.  Since then it has been a whirl wind of appointments, tests and lots of information being given to his parents.  At his last appointment on October 13, 2020  his parents were informed that his tumor had doubled in size and his cancer is very aggressive so he will need emergency surgery on Friday October 16, 2020.  They also found a lesion on his liver and are going to be testing his bone marrow during the surgery to see if it spread there. Carson’s parents are heartbroken and really need some assistance to make it through this. They are proud people and don’t like to ask for help but in this situation it is definitely needed. Carson lives with his parents Dean Deshaw and Danielle Dubay in Pinconning which is a few hours away from Ann Arbor.  After his surgery Carson will need to stay 5 to 7 days at the hospital for recovery. Carson and his parents could use some financial assistance to help them with gas, food, housing and other necessities while they are in Ann Arbor. Even when they are back in town things will be hard for them as both parents will still have to take more time off for further hospital stays and appointments. This will be a long, hard fight and they will need all the assistance we can give them, and not having to worry about bills will help ease their minds a little.  Carson’s dad works full time but is not able to get paid for the time he must take off to be with Carson.  Carson’s mom has been out of work since giving birth and has not been able to return to work since she is on maternity leave and will need to stay with Carson.  Anything you can assist with would be greatly appreciated and if you need to reach out you can do so by contacting Lauren Arquette (Dean’s favorite sister) through messaging her on here, Facebook, or by calling her.
