Help Our Mom Beat Breast Cancer

No family ever wants to get the news that their loved one will now be battling for their life against cancer, especially their mother.
Our family recieved this news Sept 7, 2017, and our whole world has been turned upside down due to this disease.
Our mother, Alina Fernandez, was diagnosed at age 59, with the most aggressive form of Breast Cancer there is, Triple Negative Breast Cancer, and to make matters worse, it was already in stage 3 and spreading throughout her lymph nodes.
Affecting 15% of Latina and African-American women, Triple Negative Breast Cancer has a very low survival rate. The only conventional treatment it responds to is chemotherapy. It's hard to target, due to the fact that it lacks all three hormones usually shown in cancer cells - estrogen, progesterone, and HER - where the name "triple negative" comes from.
Mom was initially against doing the conventional chemotherapy treatment, concerned about side effects of chemo harming her body. She has had little choice but to begin chemo at this time due to the high prices of natural treatments. We would love to better be able to fight mom's cancer adding naturopathic methods, but we need help in doing so. Mom has not been able to work, and the cost of eating healthier foods, beginning routine vitamin C infusions, all of the bills piling up, and the doctor visits, treatments, and prescriptions that her insurance doesn't cover is just too much to handle for her, but more stress is the last thing mom needs.
Our family has come together and we are doing all we can do to help, but we truly need your help. We cannot handle covering everything Mom needs to overcome this horrible disease, so that's why we are setting up a go fund me account on mom's behalf. She has always been a very independent woman and now has had to humble herself and take all the help she can get. She raises her 16 year old grandson, and has been very sick from chemo treatments. This has been a very hard time for our family, and we are coming together now to ask for your help.
This is going to be a very long and bumpy road to recovery. Mom is fighting with everything she has in her, with her family fighting along side of her. We have given everything to God, and pray that Mom will beat this. We have to shrink the tumors in her breast before we can even think about the surgeries she will soon face. She is far from out of the woods, and we need your help. The two most important things are that mom stays stress free and healthy.
