SamSTRONG~Sam Jennings

On November 14, 2013, Sam was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. At the time of diagnosis, Sam was a healthy 38 year old with no family history of this disease. The only obvious symptom that Sam had were swollen lymph nodes in the neck, which appeared out of no where on October 13, 2013. After tons of blood work, several x-rays, an MRI, CT Scan, neck lymph node biopsy, and colonoscopy, it was confirmed that Sam has Stage 4 colon cancer. His cancer was an adenocarcinoma, with a 5 cm tumor in his sigmoid colon, with metastasis to his liver, lung, and lymph nodes in neck and pelvis.

Sadly, on Friday, April 10, 2015, 17 months post-diagnosis and just a month shy of his 40th birthday, Sam lost his earthly battle with Colon Cancer.  He was surrounded by family, and was welcomed into Heaven!  Sam's faith throughout his battle never wavered; he remained steadfast in his faith that the Lord was guiding this fight and he trusted in God's plan for his life.   Sam touched COUNTLESS people all across the country; we all witnessed what it was to be SAMSTRONG and GODSTRONG.  

I am continuing this fundraiser for his wife Kelly and their two precious sons.  Kelly will be able to access this fundraiser as she needs; all proceeds go directly to her.  Please keep this family in your prayers as they learn to navigate life without Sam.  Sam's legacy will live on through his sons and all the people he touched during his fight.  The earthly battle may have been lost, but he won the Eternal battle and is in Heaven now!  Godspeed Sam....
