Support DQSH Performers Impacted by COVID-19

As artists and performers, many in our DQSH family have already been significantly impacted by the Coronavirus / COVID-19 pandemic.  As a result of important public health measures, regular gigs and performances are being canceled, including story hours (see below). Drag performers, like many in this economy, are suddenly facing the loss of income we rely on to pay bills and survive.  We’re asking our community to chip in whatever you can to help support working artists who entertain and educate us.  

Can you give a $10, $20, or $50 tip now?  We’re looking to raise as much as possible by March 31, 2020 (and may continue into April, depending on need).  All funds will be divided equally among DQSH performers around the country who register for support.

Please stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram for more digital DQSH events!  We’re doing our best to plan more livestreams so we can stay safe and healthy, while still having a little fun. 

Please know that while it breaks our hearts to cancel DQSH events, we’re encouraging all of our local chapters and partners to take this pandemic seriously and do what’s best for the health of our communities (especially those most at-risk).  Please check your "local listings" (including the DQSH Facebook event page and DQSH chapter's or venue's social media accounts) before heading out to see whether an event is taking place as originally advertised.
