Help me go to drama school
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m fundraising to help support myself and my ambition to go to drama school. I have been very privileged to earn a place at one of the top drama schools in the country. I am so excited for this journey and would appreciate any contribution.
Since a young age I have always had a passion for dance, dance and the world of theatre has become ultimately my second home. It has been that world that I can escape to, and it has helped me especially when my mental health has been challenged. I am a 19 year old girl who got diagnosed with ADHD and Autism at 17, my whole childhood I have struggled with my mental health and feeling like I don’t belong amongst others my age. Dance has been the only constant that I have felt safe and able to be myself without feeling like I’m not “normal”.
Since moving colleges I have been able to work on my self and my own confidence in my ability and I honestly wouldn’t have been able to do it without the support of those around me. The Emily of 2021 wouldn’t believe the things I have been able to accomplish and overcome.
In September I will be going to Wilkes Academy in Swindon, a drama school that are accepting of my SEN needs and are already offering SEN support to me making me feel welcome already, and is going to offer me the training and support to achieve my end goal of working in the industry. I am so excited for the next chapter of my story and would be truly grateful for any donations made.
These would be going towards my uniform costs as well as costs for any other expenses for my musical theatre course. I promise that any contribution made is going to be used for my educational purposes only and I appreciate any support given.
