To keep us open till spring we need £2000 for hay
£2500 for bedding
£ 1500 for feed
£900 for marking charts and passports
£1000 to cover vet fees
£600 for farrier
£450 for rugs and equipment
To cover these cost we need to raise vital funds. This will see us through the winter.
Funds are also required for the construction of shelters for the increasing number of equines in our care & our winter feeding programme to ensure equines facing crisis are provided with feed & fodder. We had an very wet summer this year that has resulted in a critical shortage of hay. It also caused us to have to bring equines in from grazing 2 months early increasing our hay, feed and bedding costs beyond our budget. Suppliers are doubling thier prices for hay and supplies are short we can not carry on. We are now in crisis and unless we get support will have to close by the end of the year.
We have 32 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in our care and with our dedicated team of foster carers. Their future hangs in the balance as if we close there is no where for them to go. All other charities like us are full to capacity. Please help us to help them by donating and sharing our appeal.
We are also inundated with calls for support from owners in crisis and there is an increasing amount of equines being abandoned, this will continue to increase with the current fodder crisis. If we close they too will have thier lives on the balance. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=956894327792685&id=265452440270214
