Hi I'm Bob, Ewan's friend and employer.
We decided to start a go fund me page for Ewan as he had a terrible accident, which ended with him in hospital with brain damage.
Ewan started working for us when he came in for work experience after completing his level 3 in mechanics at Perth College, Where he was awarded the Scottish Motor Trade Cup 2016. He is dedicated to his Job and any work he carries out. Sadly after the accident Ewan who has CMT Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease (CMT) a devastating hereditary motor and sensory neuropathies, a group of varied inherited disorders of the peripheral nervous system characterized by progressive loss of muscle tissue and touch sensation across various parts of the body. He is unable to finish his Apprenticeship that we had offered him after his work experience, due to the accident causing his condition CMT to be aggravated and get worse. He also ended up with PTSD afterwards. He had help for that which now he is much better.
Ewan is a very valued member of our team and friend, He is continuing with us but his job roll has had to change because of this. His dream was to be a Mechanic which has now been taken away from him. We wanted to give Ewan something back for his hard work and to show him how much he is loved by us and the community. Whether it be a holiday for him or for him to get his dream car, Which he talks about daily.
The men who caused the accident might have taken one of his dreams away but I think we can give him different ones instead.
