Christmas Love Project

After the devastating earthquake in Haiti in January 2010, the number of orphans in Haiti had increased. Many children lost not only their homes, but their parents, siblings and other family members and friends. Today, many children are homeless, orphans and feel hopeless and alone, especially during the holiday season, a time that most of us spend with our families. This situation has motivated our organization to take a stand and make a difference in the world, especially in my home country by introducing the Christmas Love Project.

Our mission and hope is that one day we will be able to feed more than 300,000 orphans worldwide every Christmas. I want to reach out to as many vulnerable children as possible and let them know that somewhere in this world people are thinking about them and care about them.

This year Christmas season, we are planning to bring four different orphanages together into one place, in Port au Prince. For the success of this project, we will need to collect donations for up to 150 orphans to provide for their basic needs. Any and all donations will be accepted: clothes, food, school supplies…etc. No contribution is too small.

These children are not expecting any Christmas gifts this year and do not have the chance to decorate a Christmas tree with their families, like millions of other children around the world. You can reach one or more children with your donation; you can be their Santa Claus this year. With your donations, we aspire to have a delightful Christmas party with the children to bring a smile of hope to their faces. During this event, we will be providing music, food, presents and play with the kids for a good recreation time.
